Each year, the Bureau of Special Education conducts a survey of parents of students receiving special education services to gather information on family satsifaction and parent involvement in their child's program. E-emails with the survey are being sent out this week in the 31 districts participating. Hard copies will be mailed next week. Check your mail for an envelope marked "Important Parent Information from the CT State Department of Education". This year parents in the following districts will receive surveys: Ansonia, Avon, Bethel, Bolton, Canterbury, Chaplin, Cromwell, East Haddam, East Hartford, Fairfield, Glastonbury, Griswold, Lisbon, Meriden, Middletwon, New Fairfield, Newington, North Haven, Plainville, Region 1, Region 6, Region 12, Region 14, Region 17, Salem, Southington, Torrington, Wethersfield, Willington, Wolcott and Woodbridge. (in the larger districts, only a sample of the parents will receive surveys). You can complete the paper survey or go online to complete it in English or Spanish.
